Benjamin Palmer, CEO of Barbarian Group, Is On Board With ROFLCon!

Remember this strangely terrifying yet highly engrossing bit of mid-2004 internet culture?
Yep — Benjamin Palmer, CEO of the Boston-based interactive marketing firm The Barbarian Group and who created the Subservient Chicken site with the fine ad folks at Crispin Porter, will be attending ROFLCon!
This is pretty sweet. I’m thinking on the more “conference-y” side of things, ROFLCon might pursue a panel that collects a group of people who run businesses that are built primarily around leverging the fertility of the net as a ground for hatching and spreading memes (as distinguished from straight-up meme aggregators). There’s alot of cool stuff being done in the marketing field on this front, and it’d be great to get some discussion going specifically with an eye towards mindvirus-type work.
At any rate, the ROFLCon team’s getting together tonight for a staff meeting. Updates and schemes from the front will be forthcoming. Carrie’s been telling that there’s some pretty exciting stuff that’s been going down on the guest front, so, stay tuned.
