Capacity Warning! (Redux)
So a few weeks back I posted about the fact that this event is looking ALOT bigger than we originally envisioned. And, with registrations and press requests streaming in with no signs of stopping, we were rapidly reaching fire hazard levels of capacity for our originally announced venue of the Gutman Conference Center. Of course, we want to make it possible for as many of you to get in on the ROFLing, so our team has been dispatching incredibly competent agents around the Cambridge area, searching for a larger venue that can seat the ~500+ that it’s looking like (zomg).
We’re doing a Big Important Meeting on March 1st with the ROFLCon team to decide on the venue (and schedule, and every other important thing), but just posting to give advance warning that we may (i.e. a possibility) be moving this entire thing over to MIT. This is not a problem if you’ve booked places near Harvard Square, since the transit time on the subway will literally be around ~10-5 minutes. Directions and guidance will be provided at the event.
In any case, stuff is filling up quick even with the extra capacity that we’re looking to move into either at Harvard or MIT, and we will definitely have to cap admission at some point, so get in while you can (and before the rate hike in early March!).
