I’m sorry, but I need to share this with someone, and you (ROFLBlog) happen to be the closest at hand: Jay frickin’ Maynard signed my Tron shoes!

He knew about the design, but when I asked him if he had ever signed a pair, he said no. At this point, I’m not really sure what to do with them. I could: Auction them for charity. Ensconce them in a time-release pod that opens in the year 2199. Wear them to death. So many possibilities here. Thanks Jay!

Dean, you’re doing better than me: I didn’t know those had been made until they were no longer available. I also understand there was a jacket that went along with the shoes…

Jay, I didn’t know there was a jacket until the first day of the conference. Fred, a friend who helped us move a TON of boxes to MIT for day 1, was wearing it!

It was an orange paint marker I had lying around the apartment (for a pretty fun project that you should ask me about sometime).

What you should do with them: display them in a vitrine in your home, illuminated with museum-style spotlights.
