The Fail Whale is one of those fails.

Happy to announce today that we’ve confirmed that Sean O’Steen, web developer and founder of the Twitter Fail Whale Fan Club (and its associated @failwhale) to speak at SF-ROFLThing on Aug 29th! He’ll be talking about his thoughts on the history, evolution and future of the Fail Whale meme, and will present some of the various ridiculous cultural tributes that have sprung up around it. He joins a line up with Andy Baio discussing the Star Wars Kid, so it looks like we’re going to have a sweet nice mix of memes new and old.
