Late post, but glad to report news out of ROFLCon-HQ today that Brad O’Farrell, the creator of the very first Play Him Off, Keyboard Cat video (featuring that wheelchair kid going headfirst down an escalator), has confirmed that he will be swinging by and appearing at the conference with us this coming April 2010!

He’ll be talking about that terrifying, watershed 2001: A Space Odyssey monolith-esque moment in web culture history, where Keyboard Cat’s gone since earlier this year, and the odd (mis?)adventures that he’s ended up in as a result of all the ridiculousness surrounding the video. It’s gonna be awesome.

For those who have written in requesting — we’ve sadly discovered that the cat, Fatso, is unfortunately since deceased. But be assured we’re hot on the trail to bring Charlie Schmidt (Fatso’s owner, and performer behind the original clip) himself to turn up. Stay tuned — we’ve got one more big announcement to round out the week, due out tomorrow.
