Web Jam ‘08: Boston’s Coolidge Corner Theatre May 22-24

Orrin Zucker, ROFLCon guest and animator for Its Jerry Time!, asked us to give a shout for the upcoming Web Jam ‘08. Here’s the deets:

WEBJAM ‘08 is the first film festival dedicated to internet animation. You are invited to join Happy Tree Friends, JibJab, 30 Second Bunny Theater, Odd Todd, Joe Cartoon, Xeth, Low Morale, Its JerryTime! and many more of your favorite animated webtoons, all together on the big screen for the very first time. You can see LOLs, ROFLs, OMGs and even some WTFs. The first show is at the historic Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline MA, Thursday May 22-24.
Join us at this world premiere, star-studded event and see some of the breakout work being created in new media on the big screen. Hosted by Jerry & Orrin Zucker, co-creators of Its Jerrytime!

We’ve got Video Premieres @ the Sleeper Hits Session!

Join us in 34-101 for the “Sleeper Hits” video screening session, which will open with a bunch of WORLD PREMIERE videos from a bunch of cool people:

Its Jerry Time!: Brothers Orrin and Jerry Zucker co-produce really amazing animations. They sent in a sweet little animation to premiere at ROFLCon!

JibJab: Andy Ochiltree (a ROFLCon guest) let me know that he’ll be premiering some brand new JibJab material!

breadpig: Breadpig bassist Alexis Ohanian (a ROFLCon guest) will be debuting a brand new BP vid.

Gunther: Respectably French’s Gunther (who sang tra-la-la) was in town the other day, but wasn’t able to stay for ROFLCon. We do have a little tidbit from his visit.

It’s Not Party, It’s Fark

Hay guyz. If you’re a Farker in the Boston area (well, or if you’re a Farker coming to ROFLCon), they’re having a meet-up on Friday night at 7pm. Details are here.

Be sure to RSVP! Attendance is likely limited due to awesome Cambridge venue restrictions.  Totally so much going on Friday night, it’s not even funny.

ROFLCon Afterparty–Now with spiffy poster!

We at team ROFLCon firmly believe in dancing. Yes, even while we do the very Serious Business of gathering internet celebrities to our little conference, we still remain a strictly pro-dancing establishment. As such, we are proud to officially announce the ROFLCon afterparty, hosted by Basstown and featuring Hearthrob, DJ Lone Wolf, the Basstown DJs, and visuals from Bloodsugar. That’s right, visuals. Like Tron Guy, but multicolored and spinning.

Directions are forthcoming, but mark this down now–this is going to be a party not to be missed!
