Success! This just in from Susannah: Martin Leung, the “Video Game Pianist,” will be coming to ROFLCon! You may remember Martin from that time where he plays a Super Mario Medley…with a blindfold. Kind of ridiculous(ly awesome). He’ll be talking about his experiences and the types of things that internet fame has generated for him.
I’m thinking that Martin would work great with our developing panel on musical memes online. And, of course, if we end up doing a live performance with Group X, etc, there’s a natural fit. But I’m still mulling it out, we’re going to be sorting out some of the logistics when ROFLCon Team meets up again this Thursday.
Also, as a side note, he’s interested in getting involved with ROFLCon in a big way: yeah, that’s right, he might be joining the Team. But I still gotta get back to him on this, thanksgiving stuff has gotten in the way of my usually OCD responsiveness to e-mails — more on this later.
For more on Martin here at Wikipedia, and here, on his personal website. Totally sweet.
