I can get you contact info for Tucker Max–the UofC’s Onion-esque campus magazine “The Shady Dealer” was started by friends of mine and they got him as a special alumnus speaker when he was on his book tour. (They also staged a protest of their own event. Priceless.)
We also got Dinosaur Comics and Diesel Sweeties to do some scav stuff for us once, so they’re at least sympathetic to wacky fans.

Don’t forget the memes and net legends of yesteryear.. If Canter & Siegel are on your list you also should try and get:
-Kibo
-Joel Furr
-Usenet Kook Of The Month Vote Wranglers:
-Craig Dickson (created the award)
-Matthew Legare
-Tim Skirvin
-Robbie Honerkamp
-Phoenix
-Gene Spafford

Ebaum’s world
PLEASE NO EBAUM’S WORLD! they’re horribly abusive to the people who make memes http://www.ebws.com/
can you post some links to examples of the memes themselves? we can’t be expected to recognize all 111 of them =)

Suggest adding Bubb Rubb “the whistles go whoo!” and of course Lil Sis.
They’re just for decoration!
Not that they make up any of my web traffic (anymore), but the shock sites are noticeably missing from this list.
Two categories: shock sites and shock/surprise sites.
Shock sites:
stileproject.com (Jay Stile)
bangedup.com
rotten.com
Shock/surprise:
I see goatse on the list…what about
Tubgirl
Lemonparty
…that’s all I can think of now. I mean I know it’s Harvard but no list of memes would be complete without the Rotten.com elephantitis photos and stileproject was right there with somethingawful in leading the propagation of internet memes of the late 90s/early 00s.
The webcomics panel is looking fantastic. Have you thought about asking Jeffrey Rowland? Besides being the creator of several excellent webcomics (including Overcompensating and Wigu), he also runs Topatoco, which ships merchandise for a number of other excellent webcomics folk, including confirmed guest Ryan North.
Unrelated: Neil Ciciriega (Lemon Demon) is also one of the folks behind Potter Puppet Pals. So that’s one less email to send out, should you decide to step outside the criteria and invite some sub-appendix people.
Awesome — thanks! We’re incorporating all your suggestions and shoot be rocking an e-mail out to the people that you mentioned within the next week or so.
Keep ‘em coming, folks.

Hi, what about funtwo who play Canon Rock? what used to be the #1 most viewed music video in YouTube? Get him and have him play that song in the conference, that would rock!
Did I miss Ask a Ninja? If so, my apologies; if not, he’d be a fantastic addition.
Hopefully I am not duplicating a previous suggestion…
Heather & Jessica from Go Fug Yourself http://gofugyourself.typepad.com/
Also, just for the record, it’s Stephen Colbert…with a ‘ph’…not Steve. (yes, I *am* one of those annoying rabid fans…)

All of my coworkers and I are totally excited about this. We think these people should also be invited:
Pockyway/Space Ghetto (LJ group and website)
Encyclopedia Dramatica
Can someone please bring a dramatic hamster/prairie dog?
[…] far the guest list includes xkcd, dinosaur comics, the oneredpaperclip guy, and others. They get goatse and I’m buying a plane […]
Please invite both I-Mockery and Newgrounds if they’re not already on the list. Zombocom too please.

You should get thespark.com guys. The original The Spark guys, not whoever runs it now. I think he’s in Bishop Allen now.
Hi, this is Jason Scott of textfiles.com. I’ll gladly attend either as a guest or a regular attendee. Looking forward to this!
Umm, Leonard Nimoy any? Maybe he’d sing…?
What about the Katurday.com guys?

[…] they’re looking for, I apparently didn’t make cut. Tim Hwang, I’m saddened by this. Even the One Red Paperclip guy got invited! We were doing our things at the same time. *Shakes head in […]
No icanhascheezburger or ebaum’s. All they do is steal content from other people and claim it is theirs.
In fact, any lolcat websites are theives who stole Cat macros from 4chan and then take credit.
[…] So as the ever-threatening Anonymous and the crazyyyy kids over at Encyclopedia Dramatica (Jesus you kids are angry, do you need a hug?) have pointed out, there are so many memes that we haven’t covered. And, undoubtedly, there are so many memes yet to be sought out on our obscenely gigantic directory of internet memeage. […]
[…] We here on the ROFLCon Team have been working through the vacation to put this thing together, and we’ve hammered out a preliminary conference schedule that we’ll be molding over the next few weeks into a completed, shiny plan of action for our two day event. Wow! amazing
I like that!
What about the Joel Veitch of Rathergood.com? Rathergood’s been one of my personal favorites for years now, and the viking kittens have quite a following =) It would be rad to see him there. Thanks!
i hate the game, yet the internet now means i cant see the word “LEROY” without laughing.
mr leroy jenkins anyone?
Oh, and what about Mario from “stuffonmycat.com”? Only one of the coolest sites ever… (along with rathergood.com)
what about the guys who did All Your Base as well as Xavier Nazario and Randy Hayes (”i’m the juggernaut, bitch!”?
These probably made a wish-list somewhere, but they aren’t on this page yet, so…
Real Ultimate Power guy
End of the World guy
The first, the best.
Did anyone invite Mahir? I KISS YOU
In Kenzo and the ManorMeta AMO looking at that crosscountry trip….not a bad lineup. Leonard Nimoy is here in LA, Santa Monica….his art is fascinating and he likes a good excuse to show it. There’s a lot of interactive artists outside of vlog and comics that should be invited too…. Jonathan Harris, http://www.number27.org/biography.html and
What about Mahir and… and Daler Mendhi?

how about slightly older stuff–brick testament, jennicam, eric has an emotion, david still, etc?
Kail anyone? He did that song We Got Snakes that was about Snakes on a Plane and Tails is Hot
http://kail.brokenrevolution.com/ you can contact him through there
I second the Viking Kittens.
Shouldn’t that last box be URL, not URI?
How about Snopes? I’ve been depending on him and Barbara Mikkelson (they weren’t married back then) to cut the crap and lay down the law since the mid-80’s.
I definitely agree with that other guy, Kail would be great for ROFLCon because his music’s about video games and nerd shit, it’s funny, and his first album’s free to download on his website. He’s found a great way to use the internet to get his music to people and tons of people love his music! Get him on there!
True that, actually. Hadn’t thought of Kail. Working on it!
Kail is a really funny guy, I wanna see Kail!!!
http://www.myspace.com/kail2007

You should invite Sammy Stephens, of Montgomery Flea Market fame.
Definitely get Kail playing there with the other bands, that would be so awesome! He rarely plays shows so this’ll be a good chance for me to hear Tails is Hot live!
Hey guys, love the site! You’re so on top of everything, it’s amazing. Can you do me one favor, though? Fix the spelling of my name in item #6 (LOLSecretz) on the guest list? It’s actually Arija (pronounced ‘aria’). Thanks! See you in April!
Man, our bad, we totally suck. Let me change that right away!
-Tim
We want Kail! Get Kail on there, seriously, the Kail Army demands you guys get Kail playing at the party! There are going to tons of Kail fans at ROFLCon, so get him on there!
