does the student discount apply to all students, or just students of harvard?
Yep — applies to all students.
Even Students that arent in colledge yet, I.E. High School Students?
Yep — though be warned that age might potentially be a limiter on your access to the Party of the Internet on Saturday night since it’ll be at a bar (though we’re working it so that the music show should be all ages).
Hey! I kind of srsly don’t want to miss this, but I’m from Sweden. Will I be let in? I study in Stockholm, but we don’t use school ID’s here. I will be 21 in September. Thx!
please consider next year having it closer to indiana? i really want to be able to attend!!
Elin: Most definitely — wouldn’t want you to miss out on the event. Once you’re registered on our system, just shoot an e-mail to roflcon@gmail.com and we’ll make sure you get in.
Whiskers: Will do! Haven’t even started thinking about next year yet, but we’ll keep it in mind!
Just to reiterate, are international student cards valid? I’m from Wales, UK.
Yep — they’re valid.

Is there an “official” conference hotel?

Nothing just yet, the ROFLCon team’s actively scouting around Cambridge as I type this to find a good place to negotiate some housing deals. We’ll post as soon as the details come in.

Is there a hotel block booked for the con with group rates and such? It’s gettin’ around hotel booking time.
This could of course be expanded into a “where to stay / where to eat / etc. page.
I second the Indiana request. Also, it’s at the end of my dead week. I would love discussions on this. especially from a sociological and psychological point of view.
Is there a way to pay via mail or in person? I don’t have a credit card. Guess I could just get one of the prepaid ones in worst case scenario
Sure — just drop an e-mail to tim AT roflcon.org and I’ll get you the deets.
Since it says “Current school ID”, what if my ID has no year on it?

Any chance this convention will ever have an incarnation on the West Coast (California)?
So is age going to be a problem? I’m 17.
Online registration is no longer available?
Yep

Any updates on hotel info?
TIM- I didn’t register in time!
I live in the Cambridge area and was wondering if there is any kind of wait list I can be put on if additional spots open? Or how I can get into any of this? I should’ve jumped at the chance earlier….
I would also like to know about wait lists. I’m with the Communication, Culture, and Technology program at Georgetown. We just found out about the conference, and would love to send a contingent.
Yep — Beth and Tyler, we’ve got you on the waitlist. Info to come in the next week or so…
Thank you Tim!
Tim, I emailed you the other day. Wanted to post on here too to make sure I get on a wait list. I’d really love to live blog this event for my site.
There’s a handful of betahouse folks that didn’t get in on time to register. We could really use 3-4 tickets.
Will lol 4 tix.
I can has spot on waitlist too?
Kthxbai
I would also like to be on the waiting list! If there is no way to get into the conference because of capacity issues, is there a way to at least get into the party Saturday? I am so mad at myself for not registering earlier!
I’d love to get on the waitlist too if you have one!
Anonymous does not require a reservation. We will be there to bring justice to this piece of shit convention. Watch out for us. We WILL be there.
I would love too as well!
Here is another request to be on the waitlist - two tickets.
Press passes for intrepid bloggers? Otherwise, waitlist me too, please
I want tickets!! TICKETS!! (put me on this alleged waitlist too?)
Please add me to the waitlist. ![]()
waitlist plz?
[…] This crazy semester combined with my insane last quarter have caused me to miss out on a lot of stuff. Most notably I didn’t register for ROFLcon. […]
Do you take bribes?? I need my LOLCatz!!
Please let me on the waitlist!
Is there an actual age limit?
Nope — no effective age limit. Though peeps younger than 18 should be advised that there might be some problems getting into the after hours party on Saturday.
I just saw the ad for this in the Weekly Dig… Put me on the list of people unlikely to get in, but would still like to go.
Thanks! Could I also have two spots on the waitlist?

Did I miss the waitlist? I’m brand new. Maybe next year? See you next year? Got it.
Oh noes! I just found out about this conference and I go to MIT….hmm how observant am I? I would love to be put on the waitlist if there still is one.
Thanks so much!!!

Heads up!
I’m not on the list even after offering my inexperience as a fluffer? What more does a guy need to do to get in? Whatever, just tell me to stfu and gtfo. Thanks anyway. ![]()
